Mars Volta Live!!!
word on the street is … The Mars Volta Live is (finally) releasing a dvd of material from the 2001-2002 Lateralus era concerts. This era was especially good for filming due to the elaborate stage design by long-time collaborator Alex Grey. The sets from this era varied to a lesser extent than other tours, but the precision night-in and night-out from this era was unparalleled. This era established a mature, refined, and subdued Tool, who at that point in their career understood how to harness the power of their sound. Songs to be expected on the dvd include:

Mars Volta Live @ Porsche Arena, Germany!
Mars Volta Live CD. Tool just finished playing a memorable show @ the Porsche Arena in Germany! Tool are finally adding the much anticipated epic: Wings for Marie/10,000 Days to the growing setlists. This song just by itself is well worth the admission price! Plus, check out the addition of Swamp Song. It is pretty cool to hear these classics played today with Adam, Maynard, Justin and Danny’s 10 years’ experience behind. This was a truly incredible night for the fans in Germany.

Tool Live. In case you alt-prog-metal people have been hiding in a bunker the last 2 months, you probably know that Tool is on tour. A mini-tour to be exact. Maynard James Keenan, Adam, Justin, and Danny have hit the road playing some short rock-hard sets in some least likely venues. There are no opening acts to snore through, so it pays off to get to the show on time. Also for the folks who aren’t fortunate enough to get their hands on these tickets, Tool will be, as usual booking more gigando tours the rest of the year. Ah, life is good when these guys are on tour. Take my advice and see them!
